What cables are needed for a blu ray samsung drive?
I bought an oem samsung blu Ray Drive and was wondering what cables were needed for connection with the motherboard etc.

INFORMATION which will definitely GIVE YOU an IDEA and HELP you:-
You’ll need an available 5.25″ drive bay, an unused SATA port on your motherboard and a SATA power connector coming from the Power Supply. Something else you might need is a Molex-to-SATA adapter if your power supply doesn’t have SATA power connectors (or the rare occasion where you have a power supply that does, but have none to spare). If you don’t have a SATA data cable to spare and need to buy one, make sure it’s long enough to reach the connector on the drive when it’s installed.
If this is the first time you’ve ever installed or replaced a drive in your PC, the Quick Installation Guide illustrates the steps to make the process as easy as possible without any technical jargon. Anyone with experience in upgrading a PC won’t even bother unfolding and looking at it. Cost, simplicity and neater cable routing for better air circulation inside the case are the main benefits and reasons why the old IDE/ATA interface with its bulky 40-pin ribbon cables (and somewhat less-bulky rounded cables for enthusiasts) and need for Master/Slave and “sometimes-it-works-sometimes-it-doesn’t” Cable Select jumpers, have pretty much become history on today’s optical drives. SATA drives require no Master/Slave jumpers as any motherboard or PC manufactured during the last five years automatically recognizes SATA devices and for the most part, assigns the right priority to them without any user intervention.
